Instead of implementing the HID adaptors within Kaleidoscope, provide an API only (by marking the symbols `extern`). For the sake of backwards compatibility, pull in `Kaleidoscope-HIDAdaptor-KeyboardioHID`, a new shim library implementing the status quo.
